An eBike-rated lock is built with a higher security rating than a standard bike lock, reflecting the higher resale value and target-attractiveness of an eMTB compared to an unassisted bike of similar age. This model is Sold Secure or equivalent rated for genuine security rather than a token deterrent, and sized to fit through a wheel and frame simultaneously on most eMTB models in our range. Worth pairing with a secondary cable lock for the front wheel if you're leaving your bike unattended for any length of time, since no single lock is fully theft-proof on its own. A sensible investment given how much more an eMTB typically costs to replace than an unassisted equivalent bike.
